When is Prime Day 2022 — Everything You Need To Know

Those of you who have been wondering when Prime Day 2022 will be can rest easy now. Prime Day 2022 will start at 3 am ET on Tuesday, July 12. For 48 hours only, Prime Day discounts will be available on Amazon.com.

The purpose of the retailer’s massive phony holiday, known as “Prime Day,” is to promote the purchase of Prime memberships. Everything from Instant Pots to running sneakers is on sale during the 48-hour event. Prior to this year, Prime Day was observed on June 21 and 22. Over two million Amazon deals were delivered in every category.

Great discounts on Amazon-made gear like Echo speakers, Fire tablets, and Fire TV Edition televisions may be found during Prime Day. When it comes to Amazon’s hardware, Prime Day is the best day of the year (except Black Friday, of course).

Just remember that Prime Day is exclusive to Amazon Prime members, so if you’re not a member, you won’t be able to take advantage of the sales. Amazon offers a free 30-day trial to new customers.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?

The 12th and 13th of July, 2022, will be Amazon Prime Day. Prime Day is the day when Amazon offers its finest deals of the year to its customers. In 2015, Amazon celebrated its 20th anniversary by launching Prime Day. It started out as a 24-hour sale and has since expanded to a 48-hour event celebrated in over 18 nations.

When is Prime Day

Amazon traditionally begins Prime Day with a week of pre-event promotions known as “teasers.” Previous promotions have featured dollar-off discounts on Amazon Fire tablets, free Amazon credits, and sales at Whole Foods, which is owned by Amazon. Remember to check back with Tom’s Guide for up-to-the-minute coverage as we lead up to Prime Day.

Before this year, Prime Day was celebrated on June 21 and 22. Before that, on October 13 and 14, Prime Day was celebrated.

What is Prime Day?

For those who have never participated in the annual shopping extravaganza, Amazon Prime Day is like a miniature Black Friday. In addition to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Prime Day is now the biggest shopping day of the year. Major retailers will also join the sale frenzy in opposition to Amazon’s Prime Day. In an effort to overshadow Amazon’s Prime Day promotions, many of Amazon’s competitors begin their own sales the weekend before.

Amazon’s promotions are only available to Prime members, whereas those of competitors are open to everyone. However, with the rise of membership programs like Walmart+, PowerUp Rewards Pro, Totaltech Unlocked, and others, it’s very feasible that the best prices, including any PS5 restocks, will be exclusive to customers of competing stores.

As a whole, that week will feature thousands upon thousands of discounts from Amazon and other large shops. Nearly every imaginable type of consumer good, from video games and electronics to movies and toys, will be on sale.

What deals do we expect on Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day deals on certain items are notoriously hard to forecast. The Echo Show, Kindle, Echo Dot, and Fire TVs from Amazon are the only exceptions. During Prime Day, you may get the lowest prices of the year on Amazon-branded electronics. That being said, you should probably hold off on buying a smart home gadget like a new Kindle until Prime Day.

Although we cannot reveal which specific gaming products will be discounted, we can say that the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X will have some incredible sales. The AAA games that are featured in the offers that occur on Prime Day are usually those that were released within the past year, so you can expect to see some 2021 seasonal hits as well as games that were released earlier this year.

Prime Day is a terrific time to buy games and other gaming accessories including controllers, headsets, and laptops/PCs for gaming. And much as on Black Friday, you may find some amazing prices on 4K TVs on Prime Day, both cheap models and high-end models that are perfect for gamers.
